Single Portal decisions and decision watch

A decision under Article 20 is published on the Forced Labour Single Portal and is of general application: it binds every economic operator placing the named product on the market, not only the one investigated.

This is the provision most readers miss. It means the relevant question for an importer or a distributor is not only 'has an authority written to us' but 'has any published decision named a product, a facility or a region that is in our map'. A decision against another importer's polysilicon, cotton yarn or agricultural produce reaches you through customs if you place the same product, whether or not you were ever contacted. The platform's decision watch reads every published decision and every customs hold notified through the market surveillance system against your product lines, facilities and regions, and treats a match as the worst state a line can be in — above your own open flags. The Single Portal has been live since 30 June 2026 with the Guidelines and the contact points; the decisions section and the information submission point open with the prohibition on 14 December 2027, and until then the watch shows worked examples labelled as such.
