PPWR packaging labelling
Article 12 requires a harmonised material-composition label, a re-use label with a data carrier, and recycled-content marking. None of the three has a determined start date, because all of them hang off implementing acts that are overdue.
The Article 12(6) and 12(7) acts were due on 12 August 2026 and have not been identified as adopted. One consequence is easy to miss: under Article 70(1)(a) the legacy Directive 94/62/EC marking survives until 30 months after the Article 12(6) act, so with that act outstanding the old marking regime has no computable end date at all. The platform shows 'not before' for each and names the act everything is waiting on, rather than a countdown to a date the law has not fixed.
